A Posthole Structure

Sometimes, a group of features is recognized as being the remnant of a house or other building. This is called a structure. Here's how a circular structure looks after the plow zone is removed. The ring of postholes indicates where the walls once stood. Near the walls (both inside and outside) are pits that would have been used for storing foods and other items.
